Malaysian Teenage Girl 'Rescued' by Thai Police Masterminded Her Own 'Abduction'

"SHAH ALAM, 26 MARCH, 2012: The Malaysian teenage girl 'rescued' by Thai police on March 19 along with five Myanmar teenagers masterminded her own 'abduction.'

Shah Alam district police chief ACP Zahedi Ayob said this is based on consistent information obtained from the five Myanmar teenagers interrogated here on Thursday.

"The Myanmar teenagers aged 14 to 17 years-old told police that the 14-year-old girl was the mastermind of the abduction. They said the girl gave the idea to inform Thai authorities that they were abducted while the chronology of events showed that were planning a trip to Thailand," he told a press conference here today."
